Over the past 23 years, Amy has developed a robust environmental law expertise by handling a myriad of federal and state environmental law matters that have impacted governmental entities, private sector businesses, and the community at large. Amy joined Duncan & Allen as Of Counsel in August 2015. Her practice focuses on assisting governmental entities and private sector businesses with environmental compliance, including regulatory, enforcement, and litigation-related matters.

Prior to joining Duncan & Allen, Amy served as the General Counsel for the Districts of Columbia Department of the Environment. Amy also previously served as Senior Litigation Counsel to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, and as a Deputy Attorney General for the Indiana Attorney General’s office handling environmental matters across the state of Indiana.

While Amy’s practice focuses on environmental law, she also has expertise with and assists clients in handling government legislative issues, federal and state administrative procedures, as well as claims implicating contract construction, Takings, and Section 1983.
