Amy has over 23 years of experience in environmental law, representing governmental entities, private businesses, and community organizations on a wide range of federal and state environmental issues. Since joining Duncan & Allen as Of Counsel in August 2015, she has focused her practice on advising clients on environmental compliance, encompassing regulatory matters, enforcement actions, and litigation.
Before joining Duncan & Allen, Amy served as General Counsel for the District of Columbia Department of the Environment, where she provided strategic legal guidance on critical environmental issues. She also held roles as Senior Litigation Counsel for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and as Deputy Attorney General for the Indiana Attorney General’s Office, managing environmental cases across the state.
While environmental law remains her primary focus, Amy also provides expertise in addressing government legislative matters, navigating federal and state administrative procedures, and resolving claims involving contract construction, Takings, and Section 1983 issues. Her extensive experience ensures clients receive knowledgeable and practical solutions to complex legal challenges.
